IDEC also carries solid state relays that include their own heat sinks to reduce the chances that the products will overheat and burn out.   • Some of the components from IDEC, such as RJ PCB relays, are expected to last up to three times as long as those available from other manufacturers.

  • The contact ratings are higher on IDEC relays than on those from competitors. Ultimately, this means that they require fewer replacements.

  • Some of the models, like the general-purpose RR series, give users the option of choosing components with a convenient test button.

    • In addition to using IDEC relays in their electrical systems, systems designers may consider employing mount sockets. PCB mount sockets eliminate the need to solder relays to the board. Panel mount sockets let employees replace relays without accessing live wires.
