Berlin Shopping Districts

Kurfuerstendamm

Kurfuerstendamm, known as Ku’damm in short, is the most popular shopping mile in Berlin. This 4km long avenue that stretches along Charlottenburg offers diversity in style and price categories. You’ll find the typical top designer brands such as Chanel, Gucci and Jill Sandar, as well the international high street brands including Zara and H&M. Stroll a little further down the boulevard for the chicest boutiques and specialty stores. Have a sip at the traditional Cafe Kanzler on Kanzler Eck while enjoying the street views of Ku’damm or take a short detour into Tauentzienstrasse for even greater shopping opportunities, especially when it comes to apparel and accessories. Besides shopping, Ku’damm also offers a plethora of German restaurants. From eating to shopping, Ku’damm is a great option if you’re dedicating an entire day to retail therapy.

Alexanderplatz

New developments such the ALEXA shopping mall and the department store of Galeria boosted Alexanderplatz back up the ranks of top places to shop in Berlin. With over 180 shops spanning across 5 levels in the ALEXA, fashion, electronics, beauty and culinary delights are found within this all-in-one shopping and entertainment complex. While you’re in the area, take a look at Berlin from up above without taking a flight at the Miniature Museum of Berlin Alexanderplatz. Located in the central square of the Mitte, Aexanderplatz’s lively atmosphere promises a unique shopping experience.

Schonhauser Allee

Shop among the locals at Schonhauser Allee. Situated in the heart of the lively district of Prenzlaur Berg, is the Schonhauser Allee Arkaden, a vibrant 3-storey retail paradise that offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Berlin. Besides the local German and international brands, you’ll find about a hundred specialist stores within this charming complex.
